Madame la Papillon impressive on Debut

Given a confident and patient ride by Alice Stevens, Madame La Papillon made an impressive debut at Huntingdon, winning with ears pricked and plenty in hand. An exciting prospect.

Racing Post Ratings assessment: this was a promising debut from the cosy winner with the second, fifth and seventh setting the level. MADAME LA PAPILLON, out of a winning stayer on the Flat, was unfancied but looked a talented mare as she eased into the race and comfortably got the better of the long-time leader. Well on top at the finish, she should go well under a penalty, particularly against her own sex.

Sirius white gives Ellie Mayo debut win

Starting at odds of 100-1, Sirius White gave Ellie Mayo her first ever winner, staying on well in the closing stages…

A turn-up in the second division with the 100-1 winner providing his rider with her first winner under Rules. SIRIUS WHITE, having just his second run for this yard, was produced from off the pace to lead at the furlong marker and kept on well for his rider's urgings. His best efforts before this had come over 7f but a well-run mile is obviously within range.
